Kisses! Dana Andrews and Jeanne Crain; STATE FAIR (1945)

___________________

Leftover 'Kiss' from Valentine series.

Wish I would have remembered to schedule it, but no; pulled the same stunt as last night; fell asleep, woke up a few minutes ago, and thought, "Ah! My blogathon!"

-- Actually, I thought, "Ah! My throat hurts, and I can't breathe through my nose!" ;)

Came in, and scoured my draft-pile: found this.

And back to bed, I go...

Feel better! I love this series. I've been in the mood for "State Fair" lately. Maybe this is a sign that I should watch it soon...

Dana! As much as I adore Bobby Darin (and I REALLY adore Bobby Darin)... NO ONE could be better than Dana in State Fair!

Ugh! I have a sore throat/cold right now TOO!

I LOVE this movie! I'm a huge Rogers and Hammerstein fan, and I love this version of State Fair WAY better than the later Ann Margaret/Pat Boone version! Jeanne Crain is GORGEOUS in this!

Thanks for the post! Feel better soon!

I haven't seen this musical yet (want very much, because of Dana, of course), but I watched "Leave her to Heaven," and I couldn't stand Jeanne Crain. She ruined the movie for me. Didn't like her in "A Letter to Three Wives" either.

On the other hand, Dana... Well, I know how the Golden Age fan community feels about him in general, and I'm no exception.
